Battle of Sullivan’s Island  June 28, 1776

 The New Acquisition Militia is a group of living historians recreating the life and trials of the area of South Carolina that, until 1772, was Tryon County North Carolina.  Much Revolutionary War history occurred here, including the Battle of Huck’s Defeat (Williamson’s Plantation) and the Battle of King’s Mountain.
